If you’re looking for a learning community that celebrates curiosity, creativity, and connection, we’d love to meet you.
Our enrolment process is designed so you and your young person can really get to know us — and we can get to know you. Each step matters, and we’ll ask you to complete the required information before moving to the next stage.
Important: Even if you’ve completed our enquiry process before, you will need to fill in the GVL Expression of Interest form. We have been overwhelmed with enquiries and we don’t want to miss welcoming any future community members.
Step 1 — Fill in the Expression of Interest Form
Let’s start the conversation. This form gives us the details we need to understand your young person’s interests, needs, and hopes for their learning journey.
Step 2 — Join a Tour of the Old Castlemaine Gaol
Come and hear about how we spend our days, the bigger picture of our education model, meet Peter, and experience what makes Global Village Learning unique.
A link to book a tour will be sent soon after you have submitted an Expression of Interest form.

- Thursday 28 August – 9:30 am to 11:00 am
- Thursday 4 September – 9:30 am to 11:00 am
- Thursday 11 September – 9:30 am to 11:00 am
- Thursday 18 September – 9:30 am to 11:00 am
Step 3 — Enrolment Interview
If we believe the GVL environment will be a good fit for your family, we’ll invite you to an interview.
This is a relaxed, friendly conversation with your young person, you, and some of our guides to explore passions, goals, and how we can best support learning and growth.
Step 4 – Enrolment Offer
If your application is successful, you’ll receive an enrolment offer confirming your young person’s place in the GVL Castlemaine community for 2026.
At this stage of the process, some administrative documentation and a one-off $150 application fee are required.
One you receive a Letter of offer you will be required to pay the Enrolment Fee of $350.
Step 5 — Welcome Mornings (formerly Orientation Days)
Before the year begins, your young person will join us for all four Welcome Mornings — a chance to meet other learners, explore the spaces, and get comfortable in their new community.
These mornings will be at our Castlemaine Campus from 9:30am – 12:30pm on:
